“Age Prevention Lovers”

Welcome to the exclusive club of the APL’s

Why We Age & Why we Don't have to !

For those of you who are wise enough to understand the concept of staying ahead of the aging curve I tip my hat to you…You have started an exciting journey of discovery and are already way ahead of the age prevention game…

We are living in the future right now. Scientists have already discovered what activates the “Longevity Genes”. They are now in possession of the science that can reverse diseases in the body and guess what aging is?  If you guessed “Aging” you are absolutely right.

So What is Aging?

Aging is a disease and one that we are in complete control of. Did you know that only 20% of your longevity and how you are going to feel when you are 70, 80, and 90 is genetic? The rest is completely in your hands. How liberating is that? You can actually control how you age by how you live your life. Yes my APL’s your lifestyle and your daily habits are the biggest influencing factors in how you grow old. So let’s talk about lifestyle.

Lifestyle reflects a person’s attitudes and how we live our lives on a daily basis. Values, Nutrition, Movement, Hydration, Skin Health, Stress, Relationships, Hobbies etc

Our genes control how long we live and they respond to how we live. There is a whole world of activity happening in our bodies every second of the day. Millions of biological changes are happening that we are not even aware of. Everything we do in our outside world is converted to a language that the body can read and understand.

AGING ALERT 1:

A High Sugar Diet for instance is translated into “Let’s get the pancreas to pump out more insulin to deal with the sugar overload” The pancreas eventually becomes exhausted if the sugar keeps coming and is unable to do its job anymore and blood sugar rises leading to type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

AGING ALERT 2:

The lack of movement and exercise leads to an avalanche of metabolic processes screaming for help. Movement increases the flow of fresh oxygenated blood and nutrients to every cell in the body. It strengthens our cardiovascular system, our muscles, balances blood sugars and regulates blood pressure. BUT most important of all it turns on our “Longevity Genes” .

Aging Alert 3:

Stress is a normal part of our daily lives. Prolonged periods of stress however can suppress your immune system and increase your risk of disease. So how does our body read this stress? It produces a hormone called Cortisol which is the leading cause of the breakdown of the precious collagen in our body resulting in the formation of lines and wrinkles.

So this “The Skin Whisperer” has a question for you: “How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you were?”
